Pulse Quest E-Magazine

The Spark of Pulse Quest

The Science Society of Nalanda College, with its proud legacy of 70 years, has consistently demonstrated a commitment to innovation, inspiration, and academic excellence. Throughout its history, the Society has actively created opportunities for students to explore scientific knowledge while fostering creativity and intellectual growth. Continuing this tradition, the Society successfully initiated and expanded one of the First e-magazine platforms introduced by a school science society. Titled PULSE QUEST, the magazine was officially launched on 1st November 2024, based on a concept proposed by the 2025/2026 Board, Vice President, Sathil Dharmasena. This initiative reflects the forward thinking vision of the Society’s students and their dedication to building a strong scientific community. PULSE QUEST serves as a dynamic monthly platform that brings together students from schools across Sri Lanka who share a passion for science. It provides them with the opportunity to publish scientific articles, creative writing, and academic content, while encouraging the exchange of ideas, enhancing knowledge sharing, and nurturing scientific curiosity and collaboration among young minds. To further strengthen this initiative, the Science Society developed its first official website, creating an accessible and interactive space for students to both submit and explore content. In addition, the platform actively promotes science related school societies and their initiatives by showcasing events such as science days and celebrating their achievements. Societies including ICT, Aeronautical, and Robotics have been featured, fostering intra school collaboration and inspiring students across diverse scientific fields. Notably, the magazine operates entirely free of charge, ensuring accessibility for all students. Each month, outstanding contributions are recognized through the selection of the Best Article and the Most Popular Article, with winners being awarded certificates and prizes. As the Society looks ahead, it remains committed to further enhancing this platform with diverse content and exciting opportunities, while extending its gratitude to all who have supported this journey and inviting others to be part of its continued success.
